It sounds pretty, I guess. I like the parts where there's no words. Very pretty.

But--

The parts with the white boar, Okkoto...I never told anyone about that. How could that have been known? It's weak.

Mother wouldn't have liked to known about 'Mother's Day'. She probably would have thought it weak. I don't know...it's just to honor. Moro was very honorable so maybe it wouldn't be weak.

I'll say it once: all the gods in my world, save my two brothers, are DEAD. I saw the last remmants of them die. I saw the most powerful god in my world get it's head blasted off.

The only decent god here is Pele, who at least acts like a god should.

I found these poems on the official Princess Mononoke web-kit site (found here). They were written by Hayao Miyazaki (the creator of the movie). I decided to put this up so you guys could see them. They were originally in Japanese (Miyazaki wrote them to convey his vision to the composer) and then translated. I thought they were interesting.

This first one is about San, and I'm leaving it un-cut for it's brevity.

Princess Mononoke

Discuss if you want. I personally liked the Eboshi one the best.

There seems to be a group of new men in New Iron Town...they smell faintly of salt and sea. Ashitaka says that they seem strange. I don't like the idea of them near the forest.

Ashitaka said the gun woman didn't like the sight of them, either. Huh.
